Summary: It was so fun to stay in a home much like the ones we toured. It really brought us back in time. Tina was so responsive. I don't think I've ever had a host be so good about that. They've done a great job so far in restoring it. I look forward to seeing what else you do. AND the beds were comfortable Very important.

Summary: The Rufus house is close to historic Nauvoo. The host, Tina, was great and sent us info before to make our trip more meaningful. Home is old historic home, bwork modern updates. The host provides snacks and food that made our stay really nice. The dryer was making noise & did not work great but the host said she was getting it repaired.

Summary: Perfect place to stay when visiting historic Nauvoo. Two of the rooms are up steep stairs. So make sure your group is capable of that. Lovely property. Would definitely stay again when we come back.

Summary: Recently took a trip with my Mother to visit historic sites in the area. Specific to Nauvoo, the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is as fascinating and faith building as it is tragic. Being able to stay in a house dating back to the time when the saints lived in the area, while enjoying some modern amenities, was incredible. The home is beautiful and convenient, while still retaining its antique charm. The property hosts were awesome to work with, communicated regularly, and helped to provide us with an amazing experience we will always cherish.

Summary: We were doing a 2 week road trip and this property was right in the middle of our trip. It was perfect as it allowed us to spread out and get a little bit of space from each other (verses a hotel room) and do some laundry and be able to actually cook (if we wanted).. Nauvoo had some yummy restaurant options. Loved the proximity to Historic Nauvoo and downtown. Property was clean and host was accessible with questions. Wifi was great. And property had air conditioning which is appreciated in the Nauvoo summer. Would definitely recommend staying at this property.
